    Hey!

I went for a walk around Boundary bay and took a few pictures I can't now identify. Both plants were found in sand dune area. The first is a tall stick like plant like a foxglove (in shape). I thought the flowers would be distinct, but I can't find it. The second sure looks like a carrot to me, but my broader shot with the leaves actually had two plants intertwined and I can't tell which leaves belong to this plant.

    Any chance you can identify?

    John

First is Common Toadflax (Linaria vulgaris), a European species invasive in North America.

    Second looks like a lomatium.

Hey John, hope all is well.

The second one does resemble Lomatium, but I've my doubts as to whether any would occur at Boundary Bay. Any details on the height of the plant or the type of foliage it had?

Thanks everyone for the replies! I've attached the two plants intertwined photo and what I believe are the leaves. I have to appologise for the shot - I didn't set the camera back to deep depth of field when I took it so it's mostly out of focus mess.

    Thanks again!
