Long apt to have some damage to the foliage in winter and therefore needing to be tidied in spring, where fresh appearance considered important. Well-timed use of rotary mower set on high possible solution.

Lately, however, has also been getting infested with rust disease in this area.

Thanks! "Noxious weed" indeed! No wonder it's all over my back yard.

Right now some of the leaves look red and sickly, with white spots. Last year, they were all green. I guess I'm just worried that there might be something that might affect the other plants. I tried googling, but with the popularity of st. johns wort it's hard to find plant information.

Oh no, is that bad? Should I take a picture, or start a new thread?

I don't see any yellow on the leaves, just red and some have whitish spots.

Google "hypericum rust" to get relevant pages.
