Flowering tree Question

    Hope someone here can help or guide me in the right direction. I live in north central Fl. and have a forty foot tree out front and has the pretty flower on it (attached Photo) and no one seems to know what the tree is called. I would like to know so I can get some smaller ones as the state is going to widen the road and it will be gone. Sure hope I did this right as I am new at this computer stuff !....John

    If I'm not mistaken, there are a couple very old specimens of this tree growing at Monticello in Virginia that are believed to have been planted by Thomas Jefferson himself.
