I have a tree that is blooming with white round clusters of very fragrant white flowers which look similar to lilacs (but round clusters, not elongated) and with with heart shaped leaves but with verigated edges. it does note bear fruit and it loses its leaves int he fall.
    Any ideas what this is?

katman1, please could you add a pic to this post. I am really having trouble thinking what tree you are describing.
How big is this tree? The edges of the leaves are variegated, but what colour? Hmmm!
