Hey all. I'm having trouble indentifying this flowering shrub. It's about 6-7 feet high and it started flowering in early May. The clusters of white flowers are VERY lightly scented and about two inches in diameter. When I first "found" it (I recently moved) It was growing in every which way, but I realized that all of the lower level branches were half dead or completely dead... and after some pruning I think it may be an upright growing shrub. All of the new shoots are growing up. I've been trying to figure it out for about two months now, and have had no luck. I thought for awhile that it might be a viburnum, but I'm not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Not Philadelphus (which only has 4 petals per flower). Looks like something in the family Rosaceae, but the shrub pics don't show enough detail of the leaves, and the flower pic is blurred - can you do some more pics showing the foliage?
Thank you for the speedy response! Sorry about the quality of the pictures... my digital camera doesn't "do" close ups. Here's some of the leaves. Thanks again!
