Could someone identify the family of this plant, please? It is growing near a Garry oak meadow, but on moderate slopes in shallow soil near bedrock outcrops and is about 9-12 in. tall. Attached are two images, one wider angle for context, and one closer in on the ball-like red flowers all along the upper stem branches.

    Thanks!
