We have a Flowering Almond that is in it`s 4th.year. it performs beautifully each Spring and I have been pruning it each year when the blossoms have died off. I do this to give it some character in it`s shape. However this Summer-late summer- it developed new growth that has sent the bush straggly and out of all proportin in it`s shape. My question is, can I prune the beast again to give it a global shape or must I wait `till next year?
If you have developed a sheared ball that has some stray hairs poking out beyond the overall outline snipping these off at the outside of the ball will not affect the inside of the ball.
