In The Garden: Flower

    I've been calling this a cactus flower but when I look that up on the web nothing looks like this

    It kind of resembles flowers referred to as "night blooming cactus". Maybe try Cereus cactus.

    I agree, it does look like this flower but it was not blooming at night. I took this picture in daylight. Also, it was in a neighbors yard and not in the desert, but I assume such a plant can be in a yard.

    That sounds right. These flowers would last a day or two.
