What is the second photograph? Try entering the first picture in the botany photo of the day!! all the pictures are so beautiful.

The second picture, of the tree, that really should be upright, is a strange tree growing in Panama, at "The Finca Leerida Ecolodge" which is high up and where they grow coffee and rent out rooms to tourists. The place often has big mists. I've just submitted some more pictures (now I have the hang of it) and that submission has a similar picture, from the same location on the same day.

Richard, that tree is a Yucca, probaby Y. guatamalensis, that has been colonised by other plants, including morning glories, but I'm willing to bet there were bromeliads and whatnot on it also.

    Lovely photos, btw.
