Flower/Plant from San Francisco Zoo Identification

    Good Evening - I took these photos at the San Francisco Zoo and have not been able to identify this plant. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

    with the flowers not in full bloom and without seeing the leaves, it's just a guess. do you have a pic that shows the leaves? that would be helpful.

    If the tall leaf in the background belongs to the blossoms (gorgeous), I'd say some variety of aloe. I looked with bing, but couldn't find one with a bloom shot like that.
    Probably Ron B. or Daniel will know.

    Thanks for your help. You headed me in the right direction. It is an aloe barberae AKA aloe bainsei.
