Designing our wedding cake, and we like the flower shown on this picture... can you identify it for us?

    Thank you!

im not sure if this is it,but it could be an araknis orchid, they can be found at your local flower shop or you can ask them to order them in for you. they have the same colour and shape and last for a very long time.

Hmmm, I cannot find anything on the 'net on "araknis orchid". Is that the correct spelling?

I did think it might be an orchid variety, but I'm far from knowledgable.

yeah there isn't much info about it on the web unfortunately, it is a variety but in not sure of which type of orchid. This is a staple in the flower shop that i work at and it should be readily available other places, you can go and ask them if they have any to look at. if you would like a pic ture i may be able to take one for you from my work tomorrow.

No thanks on the pic... I can just use this one.

I feared you might have been referring to Arachnis Orchids, or "Scorpion" orchids, which seem to have a much different color scheme.

I'll do as you suggest and go to a local flower shop. Thank you!

it is kinda the same as the aracnis orchids, but the most common colour is the same as what is in your picture.

I don't believe it's any sort of orchid. Looks like a Plumeria.

I second the nomination for plumeria.
