    Hi All!

This flower started growing from the side of our house in May and has turned into a pretty big bush with these beautiful pink flowers that really pop when it's later in the day. They also smell so good. I have no idea what they are and would love to plant these all around our back fence.

    Thanks!!

Looks like Four O'Clocks, Mirabilis jalapa or other Mirabilis species.

I'd venture to guess it's Mirabilis jalapa, also called "4 o'clocks".

Wow, that was quick answers! Thank you!! I'll have to look them up now to see if they are poisonous. I have a 3 year old who loves to smell them.

As long as he doesn't then put them in his mouth and chow down in the manner of Keith Moon then it doesn't matter if they are poisonous. Many plants are poisonous, that is how they've managed to stay around this long. If you start clearing your place of poisonous plants you may not happen to be left with much.

Here the Poison Control Center used to list ones they thought were worth watching out for, I remember skimmia being a common ornamental that was listed. Easy to see why: conspicuous poisonous berries tending to be held at/near toddler level, often in shady areas near doors and walkways.
