Wildflowers: Flower and fruit ID, Guandong Province, China

    This flower and fruit were photographed in March in far southeastern Guandong Province, China.

    Can anyone help me identify this?

    Probably some kind of Myrtaceae plant.

    I was thinking it might be Syzygium fluviatile, but the fruit is the wrong color.

    Any ideas?

    The fruit is immature so color won't be a guide.
