I have a beautiful bush that grows lovely purple, yellow and white little flowers, I hope one day to be able to identify properly. Today while walking my dog I noticed an orange pod with spikes on it, sort of shaped like a football; it has red seeds of some sort on the inside. I live in Southwest Florida, there are so many different types of green leafs and trees, palms, bushes, etc. but mostly I see lots of hibiscus, I am taking a guess that this is a hibiscus seed pod, this is the first time in a few years that I have seen this on the big bush outside my apartment. Can someone please help me identify?

The fruit belongs to Momordica in fact.

Jmangeri, I'm just adding a clarification that you have both Plumbago, the bush with the blue flowers, and the Mormordica, bitter melon, a vine that is growing through the bush and has those fruits.
