This Escapade Rose blooms profusely most of the summer. The vegetation is very prickly. The rose withstands rough conditions. This one suffered from damage due to a warm winter, and an attack in the spring of some insect that attacked the flowering buds. During heavy rainfalls the rose roots are in water for several hours. It always manages to survive and thrive. The winter kill of 2006/2007 made it necessary to cut back severely or it would be a larger clump. It certainly is a welcome addition to the garden.
