    This Flavopunctlia lichen was sitting on a branch in my local woods this morning. It doesn't get the appreciation it deserves, so I thought a thread of it's own was needed.

    Thank you yes I think each lichen deserves its own thread - they get overlooked a fair bit I agreed.
    Not certain but this could be Cetrelia cetrarioides, a lichen I have rarely encountered in my region, not sure how common it may be in yours. Here it is usually an Alder associate.

    Looks like a good ID to me J. It doesn't seem too common at all tbh, but it is not rare around here.
