I have never had problem with slugs because I keep all egg shells, break them up and put them around plants. Slugs trying to crawl over them to eat your plants are cut to pieces and birds or other insects can then eat them without getting sick from the stuff they sell in shops to kill slugs. The egg shells are great for your garden so win, win all around. :) Just a tip now that spring is here!
