First Post, plant ID?

    Hello.. I'm new tot he board... :)

    I've been trying to identify this plant and haven't had much luck. I have a feeling it's a weed, but it sure is pretty.

    It's a cleome.

    Yes, looks like a Polanisia.

    I'd say Cleome rather than Clammy Weed in this case.

    Too many leaves for Polanisia? It seems they are trifoliate, while this plant has 6-7 leaves?

    I noticed it had a lot of leaflets. Don't really know if any Polanisia has that many.

    Haven't heard of the other genus. Looks like a cleome to me.

    Cleome would fit for leaves and flowers.

    Clammy weeds have very sticky foliage and are thornless,
    Cleome usually has prickles and is non-sticky.

    and Polanisia lacks a stipe that connects the pod with the pedicel, which makes the pods grow upright whereas Cleome pods grow down or out.
