Some pictures from today. filigree, mikawa yatsubusa with new seeds, amagi shigure (2 photos), mikazuki, ruby stars (2 photos with seeds).
Some pictures from this morning of Summer gold and Acer palmatum 'Tsukushigata'. The seeds of summer gold really stand out like red berries. I always want to remove flowers so that the tree will grow, but never get a chance and then enjoy the contrast of the seeds. Maybe next year it can grow.
A selection of various nice leaves after two days of non stop rain, always look pretty with the rain drops on them. All the dissectums look as though they are going to collapse under the weight of the water on the leaves !!
I agree! A group on Flickr is dedicated to "Goccia drop" Goccia - Drop Here is one of my photos that made the group: Drops of morning dew- Ginkgo biloba 'Jade Butterflies' Here are some photos from yesterday. -Sister ghost -My good friend Elpedio discovered this broom off of a AP seedling, grown as original rooted cutting; two photos as close up of leaves. (tree starts out pink apricot, then fades to orange and yellow for the rest of the season, then florescent orange and bright red for fall. A personal favorite with sentimental value too! -Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'North Light (Schirrmann's Nordlicht)' -Orangeola -Mikawa yatsubusa
Photos from yesterday continued...... -O jishi -Kamagata -Shaina -Aureum -Tiger Rose -Hana matoi -O jishi new leaf growth
Wow, JT. That broom your friend discovered is something else! Possibly my favorite of all the great trees you've shared in this thread, and that's saying something! -Kyle
Glad you like it, Thank you! I will share what you said with him this week when we go out to visit the nursery; I know he will hold your compliment in high regard and will be impressed you like it the most out of our collection of maples, because that is a big compliment. Here are some more pictures of the tree from early Spring (2) and Fall last year (2 near peak color and last two are peak fall color). To me its the tree that just keeps giving, just when you think its peaked out in color it just keeps going and impressing even more! The tree is constantly changing through out the growing season making it the most interesting tree in our collection.
