First bolete

    Here in the southern Rockies, mushroom season is quite short, from mid-July to mid-September.. This is not the greatest photo or the rarest mushroom (just the opposite in fact), but the first bolete of the season!

    In my neck of the woods if I found one no-one would be able to talk to me for a week, I would be so elated. I printed it out 4 by 6 on my new dye-sub Olympus P11, and it is perfect. Thanks.
