This evergreen shrub has been in my yard for 30 years and is about 5' tall. It has never flowered - but I trim it each year and did not realize it was supposed to flower! Can someone help me identify what this shrub is, and what I should be doing to have it flower more each year? Thanks so much for any help!

Thanks so much! Hopefully if I don't prune it like I have been doing in the past, it will have more than one flower next year. :)

This, along with wisteria is one of those plants with a chronic occurrence of effectively sterile individuals who baffle gardeners by not flowering for many years. I am growing one such mockorange on Camano Island myself, it may have never flowered since being planted several years ago and is in danger of being removed.
