Does anyone one know where I can find information on FireThorn tree's or bushes? Looking for a picture of it too to use as a logo on my new purchase. I bought a golf course and banquet facility. Thank You. Scott

Scientific name Pyracantha. There are seven species:
    Pyracantha angustifolia
    Pyracantha atalantoides
    Pyracantha coccinea
    Pyracantha crenatoserrata
    Pyracantha crenulata
    Pyracantha koidzumii
    Pyracantha rogersiana
All are from Asia, except for P. coccinea, from southeastern Europe.

There are some photos on wikimedia commons with various licenses which permit commercial use (usually provided the photographer is acknowledged, but check the license with each photo):

    Enjoy your golf course.

That's what introduced me to horticulture. My father bought a country club with a partner in 1980. I worked as a greenskeeper - now I'm a Certified Arborist and licensed landscape contractor.

If you like the Firethorn, don't plant too much of it : - )

Nice for photos, nasty for knuckles.
