Hello ...I`m having a problem with my Filigree....it`s burnt...It`s a 2 year old in a container. The soil is firn bark potting soil (no ferts added) peat...When i recieved the maple i transplanted it and put in in a SUNNY spotfor 3 days not knowing the filigree dosn`t like full sun...Its not in the sun no more.7 weeks later i have new growth and that burnt up. All i give it is superthrive when i water it....it`s bin a very hot summer here in Pa.
I wanted to give you a reply. I have Filigree and as you know it is very hot sun sensitive. Your young plant looks healthy but has leaf burn which seems unsightly and seems to worry you. I would put your plant in filtered morning sun, stop superthrive for a while and above all be patient, patient, patient. If the sight of the crisped leaves really bothers you, remove some of them but leave enough for photosynthesis. Your plant will grow new leaves and I believe you will be happy.
Hi, My advice is not to water the leaves and also keep the soil as cool as possible by either putting the plant in a bigger pot with lots of mulch or planting it out. regards Wolf
Thanks Katsura and Wolf, I`m gonna mulch it up today and stop the superthive and cross my fingers....Thanks again
