we have had a ficus for many years and we have found that all of a sudden the new leaves are crumbling/wrinkling into themselves and look as though the green is being eaten. when unraveling the new leaves, it looks almost sawdust/webbing like.

    please advise.

    thanks,

I'm assuming yours is an indoor ficus such as Ficus benjamina. If the leaves have a speckled look ("the green is being eaten") and fine webbing is present, then spider mites may be the problem.
