    Hello,
I would like to know what kind of fertilizer is appropriate for the plants planted outdoors.
I have used mulch in our garden and I have heard that mulch can be used as a fertilizer. Is that true?

    Thanks for your help,

Don't feed your plants, feed the soil and let the soil feed your plants. Compost is the best, your mulch will break down over time and add nutrients into your soil.

Charles Phillip, I'm with you all the way. If you need to boost plant growth in the short term, add weed-free manure to your compost, let it sit a few weeks/months, then mulch with that.
Be a bit cautious at first. It is easy to overdo it with perennials, shrubs and trees (I got the t-shirt for that mistake), but a surprising amount of organic matter can be added to the soil where (most) food plants grow.
