Is there a trick to getting banana pups (young banana) to build up some bulk? I have a Maurelli pup that is rather young, and for every leaf it grows it seems to lose one. I'm concerned that its going to get the strangles before I get some size from it.

    Hi Carol,

I've grown E.v.'Maurellii' for years and never had these so called "strangles". Fish emulsion (Laters - Alaska or what have you) is candy for banana plants.

    Cheers, LPN.

lol, I always hear the UKO guys whining about them. I'll go feed them the fish emulsion.
    Thanks

Glad to be of assistance. The Brits with their strangled bananas ... you know there's a joke there somewhere.

    Cheers, LPN.
