Favorite japonicum?

    Thanks, we got a nice slow soak today with made things sorta mute, but just hope I didn't go too long without watering.

    Though they don't hold their color for long, especially when compared to some palmatums, my 'O isami' leafs out with a lovely peach-ish tint, similar to pictures of 'O taki' in the photo gallery. Also check out the 'Aka omote' in the photo gallery, that cultivar leafs out with about as much reddish tint as you'll find in a japonicum.

    I'll definitely have my camera handy next year.

    And Kaitain, you've definitely swayed my already weak will power... it seems I might just have to get a 'Takinogawa' too... :-)

    'Aka omote' holds the red for some time depending on conditions.
