Fatshedera lizei in zone 5

    Hello,

    I am zone 5, would I be able to plant Fatshedera lizei? It sounds like a very interesting plant. Thank you.

    Yes: It would burn right up the first winter. The fatsia parent is not even fully hardy out here on the Pacific Coast, being damaged during the worst winters here.

    Hard enough growing Hedera helix in zone 5 Montreal, especially if you expect it to climb up above the safe protection of snow.

    Easy to grow as an indoor plant, if you're keen on having it. Put it outside in the summer, bring it in for the winter.
