We planted this tree last spring. It has looked great up until the last part of the winter. Now it is turning brown. This is the second tree like this that we have planted in this exact spot. What is going on with it? It sits beside the road at the edge of the yard and the yard slopes down away from the tree. There is another one about 30 ft from it that we planted when we planted the first spruce that we lost and it is doing great. The trees that we had removed from this spot before planting these spruces were white pines that had gotten so big they were taking over the road and the yard. I need to know if it needs some kind of nutrients or what can I do to save it.
