Falling petals

  1. I purchased a Jasmine tree about a month ago. The tree itself is very healthy. When I brought it home, it had tons of blooms. In the next few days, all the blooms dried up and fell off. New leaves appeared and it's blooming for the second time but unlike the first time where the petals were very fragrant and dried up before they fell off, the new blooms only last about 24 hours now. The petals are still soft and white when they fall off, but I'm not losing any leaves. And the fragrance is pretty much gone because the petals are not staying on the tree. I took a clipping to the nursery I bought it from and they were no help. I water about once a week, fertilize about every other week with a water soluble fertilizer. It gets plenty of indirect sunlight from a west picute window. They checked for bugs at the nursery, but this evening I did see a tiny little bug almost like an aphid (spelling?). I have searched the web and have only seen adivce for falling leaves not falling petals. HELP! I love my Jasmine

    Thanks in advance,
