Fall vegetables on Vancouver Island ??

I'm in North Saanich near Victoria. Are there any vegetables I can start from seed this late in the year ? I have raised beds but also am thinking about planters on a south facing covered porch. I'm wondering about spinach and maybe brocolli. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
