    Hi,
Is it possible to plant any vegetable seeds in September? As well, I did plant some peas and beans in late July and wonder if they will continue to grow and produce. I am wondering the same about a late planted zuchinni. Thank you.

I started my fall garden on Aug 13.

    Radish
    Carrot
    Beet
    Onion
    Bean
    Pea
    Spinach
    Chard
    Lettuce
    Mustard
    Arugula

The radishes have been picked already, and the onions have been thinned for green onions.

I think your beans and peas will do fine, for me, the beans are an experiment and I don't know if they'll produce anything before it gets too cold. You've got a few weeks head start in some really nice weather so I don't think you'll have any problems. Zucchini, I'm not sure about, never grown that. It's on the list for next year.

Everything else in my garden should do fine, in fact they prefer the cool weather. I had arugula, chard, and parsley overwinter without any protection last year, and this year I'm going to put some coldframes on top of them for some frost protection.

Oh, and garlic gets planted in October!

I think your best bet would be to construct a cold frame. Living in Delta, you have many options when considering overwintering. Lettuce and parsley will do fine in there but I have my doubts about your zucchini. They are very sensitive to cold and frost and will stop growing below 5C. You are very lucky to live where you do! I'm covering my pumpkins already at night. Deb:)

Yep...put your garlic in the ground in October (you can mulch over too). Brocolli is supposed to do well in the fall as well....but probably would have had to put in the ground in August so the the heat could get it started.
