I have just had some extensive renovations down and the contractor brought in topsoil. Now I have extensive fairy rings of small white mushrooms in all parts of my yard. This in not even the wet part of the year. Should I just give up?

I bet? If you keep a close eye on the grass where these are growing? You'll notice it'll be greener around them!
Strangely? The soil and grass will become much richer due to the mycelum of the mushrooms...plus the breakdown of soil/wood/roots/plant matter that the fungi provides.
Do you have any photos of these? Would love to see which variety you have?
