Thank you for the plant name - but I have looked at the photos on the UBC botanical photo of the day & the plant I am posting is very bushy and compact. The photos of Daphne bholua, as you suggested it might be, looks so sparse with longer leaves. The third photo showing the bark, I actually lifted the branches out of the way, so it's a bit deceptive. Thank you for your comments, they are always appreciated!!
