The date for the European Grafting day is now fixed on March 21st. http://www.dvandermaat.com/ For those who have not been in Holland, it is too early for the tulips, but you will be able to see the huge cultivated fields with crocus, narcissus and maybe hyacinths in full flower. It is worth the trip (of course, after the maple grafting ;o)). Gomero
Sam, My reading is that the event is open to anybody interested in learning how to graft maples Gomero
I think I would find such an event interesting, particularly as I can fly to Amerstam for as little at 40 euros (taxes included) return Getting to Boskoop might be a different story however :) At that time of year I will just have returned from Barbados (darn :)) so might have some difficulty Anyone know what the hassel would be from Amsterdam airport to Boskoop?
Sam, I go often to The Netherlands for my job (nothing to do with plants or horticulture, ;o)), I always rent a car but I know public transportation is excellent in that country. You can go anywhere by train. There is a train station at the airport and either you have a direct connection to Boskoop or you would have to change once, check the schedules in the Internet. Dick's nursery is 5' walking from the train station (well there is a train station 5' away but I am not sure it is the main station). You can e-mail him for more details. Gomero
