I purchased a "Rudolp" plant a year ago in Feburary. It has more than double in size and is very sturdy (had to support it some when first brought home). It bloomed and had the traditional red centers this fall. The "flowers" turn brown and appeared dead and britttle. A friend was helping me prepare my Spring clean up and cut the "flowers" off and left stems about 5" long. Will the plant come back? Should I cut it back to ground level? The red stems are just there with no sign of growth. I love this plant and surely do not want to loose it. Is there any hope for it????
