I have a cowboy cactus euphorbia that had rot at the bottom so i removed the top of it and let it dry out, i am ready to replant it, will it root if i just place it soil? will anything help the process? what soil is the best to use?

Dip the bottom 1/2 inch in water, shake off excess, dip in RootOne rooting hormone found at most garden stores, plant in very well draining soil.

I mix mine 1/3 potting soil, 1/3 sand, 1/3 sharp/course sandblasting gravel or pumice.

Once planted, water, and then dont water for at least 2 weeks, then resume watering every 1-2 weeks or when soil is completely dry
