This is Arthur Lee Jacobson's (Trees of Seattle) 86' tall Eucalyptus dalrympleana. The tree was bought from Burnt Ridge Nursery and planted in July 1992, literally coming as a seedling out of a milk carton. So it's only 17 years old!

Arthur specializes in growing plants that either have fragrance or have edible parts. Anyone who cares to visit his garden in Seattle, seeing it all cleaned up and the plants labeled, and of course seeing the eucalyptus, is welcome to come during his June, 2009 Open Garden, Friday the 19th through Sunday the 21st from noon to 6:00. Details will be at http://www.arthurleej.com in June.
