Our college, Hadlow (Agricultural) College, Kent UK , of which I am a mature student, recently went to Ethiopia on a Study Trip and to help in some charitable work. Whilst there we were commissioned to take some soil samples from a 300ha semi-arid scrub area which may be turned into food cropping agriculture. BUT... there is a rumour that the soil may be saline ... so can anybody identify these existing plants .. so that I can check if they are already growing in saline soil .. any other info would be of help! Note: The middle picture is a ground growing plant which had yellow flowers.
    Thank you!

    1. Tree looks to be Acacia sp.(tortilis?)
Any better ID's will likely require closeups of leaves and flowers.
