PLANTS FROM ETHIOPIA On a recent visit to Ethiopia I noticed these interesting plants/lichen:- Photo 1 This plant, seen in fields in Ethiopia looks like a nasty sharp thistle ... but it is as soft as cotton, and has a nice flower. It seems to have evolved to look like something it is not? Photo 2 This lichen? orange in colour, on a tree, I thought what a beautiful colour! Photo 3 This cactus type plant was used as hedging and it sprouted soft type leaves Photo 4 This cactus, about as tall as a man, was in flower and looked wonferful!
