Establishing a colony of plants native to the Pacific Northwest in Australia.

    Could any one give me some ideas regarding starting a garden in Southwest Victoria, Australia.My garden will be full of plants native to the Pacific Northwest, were can I puchase these plant's down under? Who could I ask?

    Look for the ones you want to try on an individual basis instead of trying to find a specialist in plants from this region. If Googling use botanical names.

    But remember that some of them risk becoming serious invasive weeds in Australia!

    Thanks for the feedback.My next point of call will be the nursery and then some serious resurch into these potentialy invasive weeds in Australia and exclude these from the list of plants i will puchase.I live in urban rural Victoian town 237 km from Melbourne my fenced in yard will be enough to both contain cultivate and impress .The climate I belive suitable for the excotic plants I desire.

    So what.australians' know how to maitain and weed gardens too. Proper resurch should eliminate any weedy plants. I am interested in ground covers & moss grows well down here.Also shrubs and defiatley flowers. I am new to the net, please bare with me.By the sounds the of replys' the vegitaion is weedy and uncontrolable in P.N West, can this be true?
