I notice the website for this new nursery started today and looks excellent.
It is owned by the late Nancy Fiers' (of Mountain Maples) daughter,
Tricia Smyth. The photography and layout look excellent.

    Nice link Mike.

Photos have good detail and the descriptive comments are informative.

I was a big fan of Nancy.

I was impressed with the website also. They have 2 types I've been looking for, 'Rugose' and 'Abigail Rose'. I went ahead
and ordered both. Wait and see. Also, Tricia was quite helpful and genuinely nice to speak with.

I received Rugose and Abigail Rose today. I'm very satisfied with both. I'll post pics in the photo gallery once I've
potted them. I wouldn't hesitate at all about ordering from Essence Of The Tree again. Nice plants.

I received Red Rugose, Cynthia's Crown Jewels & Orangeola from Essence of the Tree
Wednesday and potted them today. The trees were without blemish or burn and
certainly worth the $40 each after discount. The root ball was healthy & full which is
essential. I certainly plan to buy more trees early next Spring from this nursery.

I also just received an order from Essence of the Tree. I ordered a #1 Jiro Shidare which arrived yesterday and I potted it immediately. It is a beautiful little tree, and was packaged very well. In fact, I was so impressed with the service, quality, and value, that I just had to hop back on the site last night and order a Kamagata.

Can't overemphasize my positive experience. I recommend Essence of the Tree very highly. You will not be disappointed.

I got my trees this week from Tricia. The plants looked great. I was very happy and will order from her again.

I'm new to this forum. I saw this thread and ended up purchasing a Red Dragon from Trisha. It will arrive next week. I'm looking forward to getting it and in talking with Tricia, I can call ahead and take a tour of her nursery.
I look forward to that day.

Last fall I received a 'Vitifolium' from Essence of the Tree - a nice, healthy, well-grafted specimen. Can't wait to see it leaf out this spring.

And yesterday I received her spring catalog... oh such beautiful eye candy! I love receiving those type of things in the mail, it makes me ever so eager for spring.

I haven't asked for a catalog, but the web site is really a knock-out, so I would only imagine the catalog would have the same quality and elegance. I got several trees from them and they were beautiful in every way. I'm most anxious to see my A.j. 'Fairy Lights' come to life...

The catalog is online, and yes, very nice. I liked the "New introductions and rare finds" section. The back page mentions "Katsura in Gomero's Garden" - Gomero, is this your tree?
