Any suggestions other than using a "pesticide" on how to rid ivy from a rock wall? I was given a recipe of white vinegar, dish soap, table salt combination to spray on the leaves-it didn't do anything. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks a bunch.

pruners and gloves. if the rock wall has pockets or areas where it has rooted then perhaps a trowel.

I'd say the same, a bit of elbow grease and a weighty yank. (and I don't mean a chunky American!)
