    Hi,
I have two Ensete Ventricosum under lights, they germinated three weeks ago, and they are getting big fast. I have already transplanted them once to bigger pots. I want to know if there is a way to slow down the growing, without stressing them.

You could try keeping them in cooler conditions - you'll still need to give them plenty of light though.

All but the hardiest varieties stop growing when the temperature drops below 53F (12c). So temperatures around 58 or 60 (15c - 16c) should slow down the growth. 8 -10 hrs of light should be sufficent.

    Cheers, LPN.

Would a south facing window be enough light?

Yes ... it should be for the most part. This time of year we recieve the lowest light levels and our overcast days don't help. Best of luck Emma B.

    Cheers, LPN.
