This is a hedge of emerald (Smaragd) cedars planted in May 2007. It did splendidly until this spring when most of the trees started showing total dieback of some stems while the rest of the plant is unaffected. The smaller trees on the end came from a different supplier and are as yet totally unaffected. There is no consistency to the damage as far as exposure to sun and wind is concerned. Does anyone have an idea of what I am dealing with here?
