A new client of mine purchased Emerald Cedars exactly one year ago. The cedars were planted in a gravelly/sandy soil dug into a trench. A bag of bonemeal was left to use for transplanting purposes but was never used. Customer kept cedars watered throughout spring and summer. Problem is the cedars have developed an abundance of seed pods ruining the aesthetic appearance. Is this a common occurence with emerald cedars in stress through transplanting, over watering. Are seed pods from male or female plants.
This client is a senior and has spent mounds of cash to have these cedars planted. How can this situation be rectified?
