Hi, I am new here and hoping someone can help me. I am having a love affair with elderflowers and everything elder this year (yep, my hubby too!) and earlier this year bought 2 sambucas to put in my garden. They have black/purple leaves and pink flowers. A few streets away, there is a house that have what smell like elderflowers but they are white. Also it seems to be more of a ground cover than a single bush or tree.
The leaves are green and more of a regular leaf shape. I am wondering if these could in fact be elderflowers. Would appreciate any information I can get.
