I'm looking for a Canadian source of Ehrenfelser plants or cuttings. I'm located in the North Okanagan.

Ehrenfelser is held at the CFIA Center for Plant Health in Sidney. They will sell cuttings to private individuals if there are any left after all the institutional or nursery orders are filled (Feb 29 deadline for orders). Contact Carol at mastersc@inspection.gc.ca

What is attracting you to Ehrenfelser? Should we be considering it?

Thanks for the info... I'd like to try Ehrenfelser as it apparently has fairy good cold weather resilience (needed for the North Okanagan), can be used for ice-wine, and it appears that there is a decent market for the grapes.
    Some info from apellationamerica.com
Significant amounts of Ehrenfelser are found in the Okanagan region of British Columbia. This cross of Riesling and Sylvaner has become a highly-valued commodity in the western province. Developed in 1929 at Germanys Geisenheim Research Station, many consider Ehrenfelser, along with Kerner, as the best of the frost-resistant Riesling substitutes. It ripens slightly earlier than Riesling and grows in less ideal vineyard sites. Typically, it also produces more fruit than its noble parent, given the same conditions. Its only real disadvantage, aside from its hard to pronounce name, is its slight lack of acidity. Due to this lack of acid, wines made from Ehrenfelser do not share the same cellaring potential of Riesling.
Should you consider it? Im not sure, a lot depends on your particular microclimate and if you have the potential (-15C) or interest in ice-wine.

Gray Monk Winery in Winfield has it as does SummerHill Winery and Cedar Creek in Kelowna. If you call them they may be able to get you some cuttings. If you try Bylands Nursery they might have it there as well. What part of the North Okanagan
    are you in.

Thanks for your reply and info... I've give those vineyards a call to see if I'll be able to obtain some cuttings. I'll also put in a call to Bylands tomorrow.
    ps I'm located in Armstrong.
