    that looks like an oyster mushroom to me!

    It does look like it, but that would be growing on dead wood, not on grassland.

    From that first image it does look like it is clustering out of something. Particularily with an emphasis on the out and up off of an object.

    Perhaps there was some wooden fibers in the soil? I think some more information fromt he image taker would bea good idea at his time.

    Habitat information(altitude, soil, surrounding trees foliage, Type of soil ie: sandy, rocky, rich earth etc)
    Location of habitat: northamerica, europe, south america, cascades etc.
    Texture:
    Taste:

    In order for us to make any kind of judgement people need to make a better atempt at identification first.
