    Good Evening,
I'm hoping that someone will be able to shed some light on a problem that my Eastern White pines are having right now. Scenario: My father in law was burning brush 10 feet from my pines approximately 3 weeks ago. The wind kicked up and cinged the bottom needles ( not the bark) of 2 pines. Now those 2 have turned completely brown ( with just a few branch end needles that are still green at the top). My question is will they come out of it??? OR are they gone for good?? Please Help....

Doesn't sound too promising. Brown evergreen conifers do have a consistent tendency to be dead.

The green at the top will probably be OK. Also, if the fire wasn't too intense, it may have killed only the leaves and not the shoots and buds (which are thicker, so can take heat better). Wait a couple of months and see how they are doing then.
